This Privacy Policy explains how Pebble ("Pebble", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Pebble mobile app and this website. We built Pebble to be private by default: it is local-first, meaning your data lives on your device, with secure cloud backup that you control.
1. Who we are
Pebble is a mobile app for dog owners. If you have any questions about this policy or the personal data we hold about you, contact us at tapmaxalfdevelopment@gmail.com.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account details — your email address and a password (stored only as a secure hash).
- Dog information — names, breed, date of birth, sex, weight, notes, vet and emergency contacts, microchip and collar details.
- Photos — dog profile photos, gallery photos, and diary photos you choose to add.
- Documents — files you upload such as vaccination records, insurance and certificates.
- Reminders and diary entries — text and dates you enter.
- Walks — if you use walk tracking, GPS location data recorded during a walk to draw its route, distance and duration.
Information collected automatically
- Usage and diagnostics — anonymous app-usage analytics and crash reports, to keep the app stable and improve it.
- Subscription status — whether you have an active trial or subscription (we never see your card details).
3. How we use your information
- To provide the app's features and store your dog's information.
- To sync and back up your data securely to the cloud.
- To manage your account, trial and subscription.
- To send local reminders you have set (these are generated on your device).
- To diagnose crashes and improve reliability and performance.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your dog's photos, documents or diary for advertising.
4. Location data
Location is used only while you are actively tracking a walk, to record its route. You can decline or revoke location permission at any time in your device settings; the rest of the app continues to work without it.
5. Service providers
We share limited data with trusted providers who process it on our behalf, under their own security and privacy commitments:
- Supabase — authentication and database hosting for your account and synced data.
- Cloudflare R2 — encrypted storage for your photos and documents.
- RevenueCat — subscription management.
- Apple App Store / Google Play — payment processing for subscriptions (they, not us, handle your payment details).
- Google Firebase — anonymous analytics and crash reporting.
6. Where your data is stored
Your data is stored on your device and, when you are signed in, on our providers' servers which may be located in the United States or the European Union. We rely on appropriate safeguards for any international transfers.
7. Data retention and deletion
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from within the app (More → Delete account). This permanently removes your account and all associated data — profiles, photos, documents, reminders, walks and diary entries — from both your device and our servers. If you cancel a subscription, we retain your data for a limited grace period so you can resubscribe without losing it, after which inactive data may be permanently removed.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR or the CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise most of these directly in the app, or by contacting us at tapmaxalfdevelopment@gmail.com.
9. Children
Pebble is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
10. Security
We use encryption in transit and at rest, private storage buckets, and row-level access controls so that only you can reach your data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
